About Us

Our Story

The Malawi Meteorological Society (MAMESO) is a registered non-profit organization committed to promoting the science of meteorology and its applications across Malawi.

Founded under the Registered Trustees of the Malawi Meteorological Society, we are passionate about spreading meteorological knowledge, supporting research, and applying climate science to improve lives and livelihoods.

Our Mission

To advance meteorology and related sciences by supporting the Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services in generating and sharing scientific knowledge, and applying climate insights to sectors such as agriculture, health, energy, disaster risk reduction, and urban development.

To be a leading scientific society that drives innovation, education and public awareness in meteorology for the benefit of Malawi and the wider region
